Adrian Terron

Sid has always been one of the most erudite colleagues I have had. His perspective and patience with approaching tough situations have been instructive and I have learnt tremendously from them.

Sid - As you move on, I have no doubt that building will bring those same skills to any endeavour you approachable and I wish you the very best!

Ajay Macaden...

It has truly been a pleasure and an honour to have known you.
While we never got the opportunity to work professionally together, there have been many occasions where I have reached out for advise and I can truly state that I have learned something new, each and every time.
Thank you Sid for all the chats and for putting up with my questions so patiently!!
You helped open my eyes to many different authors and different genres of books and for that I am ever grateful and I look forward to the day when I will be able to pick up a book authored by you ( Hopefully in English J.)

Keep walking tall Sid.. and wishing you all the very best.

The Team

Esha Nagar

Sid, There was no direct work connect for us, be it RS or MS. But the thing that connected us was articles, online newspaper pieces and finally the Newsletter. All thanks to you for opening up my eyes to - "replying to emails Godspeed", "being aware of everything in the world" , "having a different and streamlined perspective" & the most important - "finding time to work on what you love". Thanks for all this Sir! Looking forward to catching up with you whenever I am in Bangalore. Would love to hear more of your views / thoughts for which I din't get much time in this 1 year. Esha

Lekha Naiksatam

Thanks so much for being a teacher, guide, and a constant source of inspiration for me over your time at Nielsen. You will be missed! I wish you every success with the exciting opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Hope we keep in touch.

Chirandeep Das

I have worked closely with Sid for my entire tenure till date with Nielsen and I cherish every moment spent under his mentorship and guidance. Of all things learned from him, the best learning would be “To put Nielsen, client, sub-ordinates requirement/needs before your needs and selflessly nurture these stake-holders”. A great visionary and amicable person, who empowers you, puts his faith on your abilities and is there to back you whether you succeed/fail. It has been a privilege working with you!

Sunila Benjamin

I got to know Sid slowly, over many years and that I believe is the best way to get to know someone. I always went to him when I was confused and sought to get “sorted out”. And he very ably, not to mention, calmly, would go through my issue/query step by step and help me untangle my thoughts! It was always a pleasure talking to him – there would always be some new bit of information he gave me, and never ever anything bitter/gossipy about anyone. I really admire his fuss-free, clear-headed and straightforward approach to life. And yes, above all, his stress-free approach to everything.

Gayathri Swahar

The learned! Will be my description, I haven't seen a better learner.

Simpal

He is totally supportive and encouraging of the new and innovative process.

Banupriya Sudhakar

He is more than just a colleague. He has been a friend, a mentor and a person one can depend on. The most admired quality of him is that he doesn’t work with any hierarchy and interacts with everyone in the same capacity. He is very approachable and often seen discussing and guiding the younger crowd. Is very patient and would anything to get a commitment done. He not only follows Nielsen values but is a valuable person himself who is simple, open and integrated in his thoughts and actions. I wish the very best in his future endeavor

Ketki Bhavsar

The day when Ranjeet announced your resignation, I just could not believe he is talking about you… Although for a short time, I feel privileged that I got a chance to be a part of your team… Having worked with you I have learnt so many things…. You have always been around (although not in person :) )and answered to the queries anytime… I will miss you..

Thank you for all the Help & Support.
All the best Sid…

I have been seeing Sid from 1994 – Dec 1994 ! I have had many interactions with him during these many years – both professional and personal. Few people you get connected with very quickly and Sid is one of such I have met with. Sid has various qualities among others what I experienced the most is ‘ don’t run away from obstacles -take as it comes’ and ‘ try something new’! He has exemplified this from the various challenges he took in his career be it moving to Nepal or Srilanaka in those early days; or be in Mumbai or move to Delhi and Bangalore ….and when the organization needed a dependable hand. Sid is an exceptionally supportive professional – rare to find , a great human being who helps when in need not thinking twice ‘who needs help’ ..thus .. My friend is Sid’s friend too!

I use to always seek advice from Sid on any new service / project on the Retail domain – His knowledge about the evolving Retail environment in the Sub continent and how Market Research can contribute is “just great”. He is someone who will always be at your side when you need help, be it professional or personal.

I will always remember my interactions with him on different projects during his stint in Mumbai, Delhi & Colombo – Not to forget the constructive fights J

“Thank you for being effortlessly efficient, systematic and down to earth person. And most importantly being a ‘tolerant boss’. “

Sujit Dasmunshi

" I have been privileged Siddharth for over 23 years since we worked together in Search India. Siddharth is one of finest gentlemen I have had the privilege to work with. To Clients, Colleagues, Friends, Siddharth was Mr. Dependable – our own Mr Rahul Dravid – the quiet, super efficient professional who would shun the limelight but was always there as a champion for his organization.

Siddharth understood the Research process end to end having the hands on person he is – a rare breed nowadays. Siddharth is also one of the most well read colleagues I have known, which manifested in his recent forays into him foraying in the world of publishing. And I would be remiss in not mentioning his wife Jayanthi and his adorable son who have been such pillars of support for Siddharth.

As Siddharth forays into his next adventure,  I wish him the very best but importantly a great deal of gratitude for his immense contribution and for his friendship.

Knowledgeable, patient, humble, approachable, passionate, thought provoker is how I would describe Sid Sir. Never to lose his cool, he was ever ready to provide his inputs and advice on any analysis/work that I approached him to help me on. He encouraged everyone to share their opinion on subjects, and was ready to listen patiently to what the other person was saying.

You are a great ‘teacher’ in every sense of the word Sir. I wish you luck, success, joy, contentment and good health for the years to come…J

Best wishes from an ‘obedient student’ :)

When Sid was looking after the Bangalore office, in 2002, I was also working out of Bangalore office at that time. We got a mail from Sid one day in which he proposed that the employees should volunteer to answer client calls during the lunch break, as the office support staff used to go home for lunch, and during those days, clients called on that one landline number. This was a time when very few people had mobile phones. Sid’s professionalism led him to think of an idea to avoid missing out on receiving even one client call during the day. This showed not only his professionalism but also his client centric approach to work. He is a true thought leader and a committed professional.

I would take this moment to thank him from bottom of my heart on his support, the journey with him has been amazing. Though we didn’t meet very frequently , every time I meet him
I really got impressed with the talent he has. He is an amazing personality. His passion about his work is recommendable and the way he use to stand by his team, support them in all situation is worth adopting J. He is among few people I met in my life who is able to successfully pursue his hobby along with work.

Hats off. Sid, we are going to miss you.

Gunjan Rohatgi

I didn’t work with Sid directly but interacted with him when he was heading the RMS division in Delhi. Hence I knew whenever I needed any help with regard to anything in Bangalore, I could always count on Sid to help me out. It was a pleasure interacting with him...
